An established pharmacy is offering a contract-to-hire opportunity for a bilingual (Spanish/English) Pharmacy Technician eager to grow into a clinical liaison or leadership role. Location: Van Nuys, CA
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 6:00 pm
- Rotating Saturdays, 9:00 am – 1:00 pm (with a prior Wednesday off if working Saturday)
Responsibilities include:
- Processing and accurately filling approximately 250 prescriptions daily while maintaining efficiency
- Assisting pharmacists with medication reviews and clinical support, particularly for a large diabetic patient population
- Performing data entry, prescription processing, insurance adjudication, and managing prior authorizations
- Providing high-level bilingual customer service with clear patient communication
- Supporting medication synchronization, adherence programs, and patient follow-ups
- Ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations and workflow standards
- Demonstrating leadership potential and supporting workflow coordination as the role evolves
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active, clear California Pharmacy Technician License
- Retail pharmacy technician experience required
- Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English strongly preferred
- PTCB certification preferred but not mandatory
- Minimum of two years clinical pharmacy experience preferred
- Prior authorization experience advantageous
- Reliable, professional, and growth-minded with strong clinical judgment
- Confident in diabetes management and insulin counseling
