An 8-week+ contract opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician is available in the Los Angeles area. This travel role requires flexibility to float between two hospital locations approximately 20 miles apart, providing critical pharmacy services to support inpatient care.

Location:

  • Long Beach, CA area
  • Floating between two hospitals in Gardena and Norwalk

Schedule/Hours:

  • Variable day and afternoon shifts

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and fill Pyxis automated dispensing cabinets accurately
  • Make intravenous (IV) medications, including IVPBs and total parenteral nutrition (TPNs)
  • Respond to telephone inquiries and deliver medications to nursing units promptly
  • Utilize Allscripts/Paragon order entry system

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

  • Proven inpatient pharmacy technician experience is required
  • Competency in making IVs and filling Pyxis cabinets is essential
  • Familiarity with automated dispensing systems and hospital pharmacy operations
  • Experience with order entry systems, specifically Allscripts/Paragon, is highly preferred
