Pharmacy Technician in Long Beach, CA

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately fill Pyxis automated dispensing cabinets
• Prepare IVs, IVPBs, and total parenteral nutrition (TPNs)
• Deliver medications to nursing units promptly and safely
• Answer telephones and respond professionally to inquiries
• Use Allscripts/Paragon order entry systems efficiently
• Collaborate with pharmacy and nursing staff to support patient care

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Pharmacy technician certification or licensure as required by state regulations
• Proven inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
• Skilled in preparation of intravenous medications and infusions
• Proficient in using automated dispensing systems, specifically Pyxis
• Comfortable managing variable day and afternoon shifts
• Familiarity with Allscripts/Paragon order entry system preferred
