Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately fill Pyxis automated dispensing cabinets
- Prepare IVs, IVPBs, and total parenteral nutrition (TPNs)
- Deliver medications to nursing units promptly and safely
- Answer telephones and respond professionally to inquiries
- Use Allscripts/Paragon order entry systems efficiently
- Collaborate with pharmacy and nursing staff to support patient care
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Pharmacy technician certification or licensure as required by state regulations
- Proven inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
- Skilled in preparation of intravenous medications and infusions
- Proficient in using automated dispensing systems, specifically Pyxis
- Comfortable managing variable day and afternoon shifts
- Familiarity with Allscripts/Paragon order entry system preferred
