An established home infusion and compounding pharmacy is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician to support their growing operations. This direct hire opportunity requires a technician with hands-on experience in home infusion or compounding pharmacy settings, excluding inpatient-only backgrounds.
Location: Long Beach, NY
Schedule/Hours:
- Monday through Friday with flexible start times at 8:00 AM, 9:00 AM, or 10:00 AM
- Rotating weekends required
- Facility operates 7 days per week, from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and compound medications accurately following proprietary workflow systems
- Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare providers to coordinate care and clarify orders
- Support daily operational tasks to ensure seamless pharmacy services
Qualifications & Experience:
- Pharmacy Technician license for California
- National Certification is highly preferred
- Previous experience specifically in home infusion or designated compounding pharmacy required
- Strong communication skills to manage patient and provider interactions
- Background in retail compounding pharmacies is considered a strong match
Compensation:
- Hourly rate ranging from $23 to $36, commensurate with experience
