An opportunity is available for a Travel Night Pharmacy Technician in Gardena, CA, offering a dynamic and rewarding role in a healthcare setting with licensed beds totaling 173 and an average daily census of 140 patients.

Schedule and Duration:

• Night shift: 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 5 on, 5 off schedule with 10-hour consecutive shifts
• Contract duration: 8 to 13 weeks

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and fill Pyxis automated dispensing cabinets efficiently
• Make IVs, IV piggybacks (IVPBs), and total parenteral nutrition (TPNs)
• Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally
• Deliver medications accurately to nursing units
• Utilize the Allscripts/Paragon order entry system to manage medication orders
• Collaborate with the pharmacy and nursing staff to ensure smooth operations during the night shift

Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven inpatient pharmacy technician experience required
• Skilled in making IVs and handling IVPBs and TPNs
• Experience working with Pyxis automated dispensing cabinets
• Familiarity with Allscripts/Paragon order entry systems is essential
• Ability to work independently overnight while managing multiple responsibilities
