Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and fill Pyxis automated dispensing cabinets accurately and efficiently.
• Compound intravenous medications (IVs), including IV piggybacks (IVPBs) and total parenteral nutrition (TPN).
• Deliver medications promptly to various nursing units throughout the facility.
• Handle telephone inquiries professionally, ensuring smooth pharmacy communication.
• Maintain accurate documentation using the Allscripts/Paragon order entry system.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Proven inpatient pharmacy technician experience is essential.
• Skilled in making IVs and filling Pyxis automated dispensing cabinets.
• Familiarity with Allscripts and/or Paragon systems is preferred.
• Ability to work independently on night shifts with attention to detail and strong time management.
• Valid pharmacy technician license as required by the state of California.
