A full-time Pharmacy Technician opportunity is available in Van Nuys, CA, designed for candidates passionate about advancing their careers in a clinical pharmacy setting. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strong clinical support within a busy retail environment, assisting pharmacists with medication reviews and engaging extensively with a large diabetic patient population.
- Accurately process and fill approximately 250 prescriptions daily, ensuring efficiency and attention to detail.
- Perform data entry, prescription processing, insurance adjudication, and manage prior authorization follow-ups.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with patients in both Spanish and English.
- Support pharmacists with clinical workflows, medication synchronization, adherence programs, and patient follow-ups.
- Maintain compliance with pharmacy regulations and standards; demonstrate leadership potential to assist in workflow coordination.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active, clear California Pharmacy Technician License.
- Retail Pharmacy Technician experience; 2+ years of clinical pharmacy experience strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with prior authorization processes is a plus.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English is strongly preferred to effectively serve a diverse patient base.
- Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, strong clinical judgment, and excellent patient counseling skills, especially related to diabetes management.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 9:00 am – 6:00 pm
- Rotating Saturdays 9:00 am – 1:00 pm (Wednesday off if working Saturday)
