This opportunity is for a full-time, contract-to-hire Pharmacy Technician position located in Van Nuys, CA. Location: Van Nuys, CA
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 6:00 pm
• Rotating Saturdays, 9:00 am – 1:00 pm (Saturday shifts come with the prior Wednesday off)
  Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Temp-to-Perm)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strong clinical support within a retail pharmacy setting, assisting pharmacists with medication reviews and extensive patient interactions, particularly diabetic patients
• Process and accurately fill approximately 250 prescriptions per day
• Handle data entry, prescription processing, insurance adjudication, and manage prior authorizations
• Deliver high-level customer service with bilingual communication (Spanish/English preferred)
• Support clinical workflow including medication synchronization, adherence initiatives, and patient follow-ups
• Maintain compliance with pharmacy regulations and internal workflow standards
• Exhibit leadership potential by assisting with workflow coordination as the role develops

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Active and clear California Pharmacy Technician License
• Retail Pharmacy Technician experience
• Bilingual in Spanish and English strongly preferred
• 2+ years of clinical pharmacy experience preferred
• Prior authorization experience preferred
• PTCB certification is a plus but not required
• Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and strong clinical judgment
• Confident with diabetes management and insulin counseling
• Patient-centered approach with excellent communication skills
