Pharmacy Technician in Los Angeles, CA

An opportunity is available for a licensed Pharmacy Technician in a Los Angeles, CA healthcare facility, supporting inpatient acute care services. This contract position will last approximately 8 to 13 weeks with a possibility to extend.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform IV compounding with strict adherence to protocols
• Accurately fill Pyxis medication automation systems
• Support pharmacy operations in an inpatient acute care setting
• Collaborate with pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to ensure medication safety and availability

Qualifications:

• Pharmacy Technician certification required
• Experience in inpatient, acute care pharmacy essential
• Proficiency with Pyxis medication dispensing systems
• Familiarity with Paragon/Allscripts order entry systems preferred
• Comfortable working varied shifts between 7:30 AM and 8:30 PM, including weekends (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)

Work Environment:

• Facility with 117 licensed beds and an average daily census of 44 patients
• Pharmacy staff includes 3 full-time pharmacist and 3 full-time technicians
• Professional dress code requiring scrubs

Schedule:

• 40 hours per week, with variable shifts depending on coverage needs
