A pharmacy technician opportunity is available in the Los Angeles area, supporting an inpatient acute care facility with 117 licensed beds and an average daily census of 44 patients. The position requires a dedicated professional with experience in acute care settings, specifically skilled in IV compounding and managing Pyxis automated medication systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and compound IV medications accurately according to protocols
• Fill and maintain Pyxis automated dispensing cabinets efficiently
• Support inpatient pharmacy operations within an acute care environment
• Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare staff to ensure medication safety and availability
• Utilize Paragon/Allscripts order entry systems for medication processing
• Work varied shifts between 7:30 AM and 8:30 PM, including weekend coverage from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, totaling approximately 40 hours per week
• Adhere to facility dress code requiring scrubs

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Previous inpatient acute care pharmacy technician experience
• Proficiency in IV compounding and Pyxis system management
• Licensed pharmacy technician credential as required by state regulations
• Familiarity with Paragon/Allscripts order entry software preferred
• Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to varying shift schedules
