This pharmacy technician role, based in Gardena, CA, offers an opportunity to utilize and expand your expertise in a dynamic inpatient healthcare setting. As part of a 173-licensed bed facility with an average daily census of 140, you will support medication management critical to patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare intravenous (IV) medications, including IV piggybacks (IVPBs) and total parenteral nutrition (TPNs)
  • Fill and manage Pyxis automated dispensing cabinets efficiently and accurately
  • Handle telephone inquiries related to medication orders and pharmacy services
  • Deliver medications to nursing units in a timely manner
  • Utilize the Allscripts/Paragon order entry system for medication processing

Desired Experience and Skills:

  • Pharmacy Technician certification and licensure as required
  • Proven inpatient pharmacy experience is essential
  • Demonstrated proficiency in making IVs and filling Pyxis cabinets is required
  • Familiarity with automated dispensing systems and electronic order entry
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail for safe medication handling

Schedule:

  • Variable day and afternoon shifts to provide flexible coverage
