This opportunity is for an experienced IV Compounding Pharmacy Technician to join an infusion center operating within a clean room environment. The role will support a facility where patients receive treatment, with a strong emphasis on chemotherapy compounding. This position is set as a 13-week contract to hire.

Shift and Schedule:

  • Full-time, first shift
  • Monday to Thursday: 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and compound medications accurately under pharmacist supervision, ensuring proper dosing, patient authorization, and insurance verification in compliance with OSHA and department standards.
  • Verify medication orders, patient details, and drug integrity; maintain detailed records including logs, temperature monitoring, lot tracking, and controlled substance documentation.
  • Maintain a clean, compliant work environment with routine hood cleaning, safe disposal of materials, and management of drug information and safety data sheets.
  • Manage inventory processes including receiving, shelving, labeling, billing, and precise data entry to ensure efficient pharmacy operations and medication availability.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Three to five years of pharmacy experience with demonstrated IV compounding skills.
  • IV certification is preferred.
  • Florida Certified Pharmacy Technician certificate required.
  • National Pharmacy Technician license is preferred.
  • Experience with chemotherapy compounding highly desired.
