Support the operations of a Long Term Care pharmacy as an Input Technician, responsible for processing medication orders accurately while complying with Federal and State laws. This role offers flexibility with options to work remotely from home (equipment provided), on-site, or hybrid for local candidates who prefer a mixed schedule.

Location:

  • Mauston, WI (Remote, On-site, or Hybrid)

Type:

  • Full-time | 13-week contract with potential to convert to permanent

Responsibilities:

  • Enter new medication orders and update patient profiles promptly and accurately
  • Identify controlled substance requests and manage per established protocols
  • Troubleshoot insurance rejections and collaborate with billing as needed
  • Prioritize and triage medication routes and orders efficiently
  • Communicate with healthcare facilities to obtain missing information or inform them when medications cannot be dispensed
  • Answer incoming calls promptly, within three rings
  • Notify Pharmacists regarding orders that cannot be processed and assist with facility communications under their direction
  • Adhere strictly to the Absolute Check Policy to ensure patient safety
  • Collaborate with pharmacy staff to relay updates and changes
  • Provide timely, professional customer service
  • Participate in required meetings and training sessions

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid Wisconsin Pharmacy Technician License; CPhT certification preferred
  • Prior pharmacy technician experience strongly preferred
  • Proficient working knowledge of Framework software is essential
  • Strong typing and clerical skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to independently manage workload and adapt to changing environments
  • Access to a quiet workspace and reliable high-speed internet
