Support long-term care pharmacy operations as an Input Technician, performing vital data entry and communication tasks that ensure accurate and timely medication dispensing. This full-time, 13-week contract-to-hire position offers flexibility with remote work from home (equipment provided), onsite, or hybrid options for local candidates.

Responsibilities:

  • Enter new orders and updates to patient profiles accurately from the queue
  • Identify and manage requests for controlled substances in line with policies
  • Troubleshoot insurance rejections and collaborate with billing as needed
  • Prioritize routes and orders effectively to ensure workflow efficiency
  • Contact facilities to obtain missing information or notify when medications cannot be dispensed
  • Answer incoming calls promptly, within three rings
  • Alert Pharmacists to issues with medication orders and communicate under their direction
  • Adhere strictly to the Absolute Check Policy to maintain compliance and safety
  • Coordinate with Back Counter staff on order changes or updates
  • Deliver professional customer service in all interactions
  • Participate in required meetings and training sessions

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Strong working knowledge of Framework software (mandatory)
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Wisconsin Pharmacy Technician License; Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred
  • Previous pharmacy technician experience with a focus on accuracy and detail
  • Excellent typing and clerical skills
  • Ability to manage workload independently and adapt to changing situations
  • Access to a quiet workspace and high-speed internet for remote work
