A reputable 300-bed children’s hospital is seeking three experienced Pharmacists for immediate travel assignments in the Pittsburgh, PA area. These roles offer the opportunity to provide specialized pharmaceutical care in a pediatric hospital setting for a 13+ week contract.
Location:
- Pittsburgh, PA (assignment may require flexibility to travel or relocate)
- Hospital setting: Children’s hospital with approximately 300 beds
Schedule:
- Variable shifts to accommodate hospital needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Order verification to ensure accurate medication dispensing
- Supervise pharmacy technicians, ensuring compliance with protocols
- Provide pharmacokinetic consultations and dosing recommendations
- Collaborate closely with physicians and nurses to optimize patient care
- Utilize EPIC electronic health records for documentation and communication
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist license
- Experience in hospital pharmacy practice or completion of a residency program
- Strong communication skills for effective interdisciplinary collaboration
- Proficiency with EPIC or similar health IT systems is preferred
