Retail Pharmacy Technician - Mckinney, Texas

A thriving pharmacy integrated within a behavioral health hospital is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join the team in Plano, TX. This contract-to-hire, full-time role offers a unique opportunity to work in a closed-door pharmacy setting focused on dispensing behavioral health medications, with minimal walk-in traffic. Responsibilities:

• Accurately prepare and dispense prescriptions averaging 350-400 scripts per day
• Collaborate closely with staff pharmacists and fellow technicians to ensure efficient workflow
• Handle direct patient interactions via phone and in-person, providing excellent customer service
• Utilize Enterprise RX software (training provided) for medication management
• Maintain compliance with pharmacy policies and regulatory requirements within a behavioral health setting

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Qualifications:

• Valid Texas Pharmacy Technician license (required)
• Minimum 1 year of retail pharmacy technician experience, with 2 years preferred
• Proven ability to engage in direct patient communication both in person and by phone
• Strong reliability and commitment to working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
