An opportunity is available for experienced pharmacy technicians to provide essential support in a fast-paced retail and mail order pharmacy setting. This role requires handling a high volume of data entry and dispensing medications, primarily for mail order delivery, with some walk-in retail service. A strong commitment to quality patient care and effective communication with patients, providers, and team members is critical.

Location:

  • Mesa, AZ

Schedule:

  • Monday through Thursday: 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
  • Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Contract Details:

  • Immediate start
  • 13-week duration with potential for contract-to-hire conversion based on fit and performance

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately process and dispense medications in a high-volume retail and mail order environment
  • Maintain pace to meet workflow demands while ensuring patient safety
  • Provide excellent support and clear communication to patients and healthcare providers
  • Demonstrate pharmacy intuition by proactively assisting with various duties as needed
  • Work collaboratively within the pharmacy team to ensure smooth operations

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Minimum one year of recent experience in high-volume retail pharmacy environments
  • Experience with HIV/AIDS medication dispensing is highly preferred and must be clearly noted on your resume
  • Valid AZ pharmacy technician license and PTCB certification required
  • Strong communication skills with patients, team members, and healthcare providers
  • Dependability with a commitment to punctuality and consistent attendance
  • Positive attitude and proactive approach to job responsibilities
  • Proficiency with QS1 software is highly preferred but not mandatory
