A retail pharmacy is seeking a qualified Pharmacy Technician for a 13-week contract-to-hire opportunity in Mesa, AZ. This position provides essential support to pharmacists by ensuring accurate medication dispensing and exceptional customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform accurate data entry and maintain patient records within the Pioneer Rx system.
- Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare providers to clarify prescriptions and verify patient information.
- Fill and dispense medications as prescribed, carefully verifying patient allergies prior to dispensing.
- Address patient inquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally, following organizational policies.
- Deliver excellent customer service to maintain a positive patient experience.
Qualifications:
- Active and clear Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Arizona.
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience working as a Pharmacy Technician in a retail setting.
- Ability to work confidently in a small team environment with 1 pharmacist and 3 pharmacy technicians.
- Familiarity with Pioneer Rx or similar pharmacy management software is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM (1st shift)
