Retail Pharmacy Technician in Mesquite, TX

A Pharmacy Technician opportunity is available in Plano, TX, offering a contract-to-hire position within a closed-door pharmacy setting. The role is ideal for candidates with retail pharmacy experience seeking to work in a specialized environment focused on behavioral health medications.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense behavioral health medications in a closed-door pharmacy separate from, but contracted with, a clinic
• Manage a script count averaging 350-400 prescriptions per day
• Utilize Enterprise RX software (training provided)
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Support pharmacy operations Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and safety standards
• Provide excellent attention to detail while preparing medications; no vaccine administration involved

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Current Texas Pharmacy Technician License required
• Minimum 1+ years of retail pharmacy technician experience; 2+ years preferred
• Ability to handle high prescription volumes accurately and efficiently
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
• Comfortable working in a closed-door pharmacy environment specializing in behavioral health
