A pharmacy technician role is available on a contract-to-hire basis in Middletown, OH, supporting prescription fulfillment and packaging for mail orders shipped nationwide, including all 50 states and DC. This position is ideal for candidates experienced in high-volume retail pharmacy settings who thrive in fast-paced environments and are adept at teamwork.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday
- 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately count, measure, and package medications using both automated and manual processes.
- Apply prescription and shipping labels that include dosage instructions and warnings.
- Prepare totes, kits, and cartons for outbound distribution.
- Enter prescription data into the pharmacy management system, such as Pioneer.
- Verify patient and prescription information for accuracy under pharmacist supervision.
- Monitor order status and proactively address discrepancies prior to shipment.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Experience working in a high-volume retail pharmacy environment is highly preferred.
- Hold a valid Ohio pharmacy technician license; national certification is a plus.
- Proven ability to adapt quickly to changing workflows and volume demands.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
