This position offers an exciting opportunity for a certified Pharmacy Technician to serve as a vital liaison between pharmacy services and multiple healthcare facilities across Maryland and Virginia. In this travel-focused direct hire role, you will act as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, fostering strong relationships with facility leadership and staff to ensure exceptional medication therapy management and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain effective communication channels with facility decision-makers and pharmacy teams across Virginia and Maryland.
  • Provide expert guidance on medication therapy, regulatory compliance, and pharmacy operations in collaboration with clinical directors.
  • Address client inquiries promptly and resolve issues to uphold the highest quality of care.
  • Identify opportunities to expand pharmacy services and introduce new products tailored to client needs.
  • Conduct training sessions for facility staff on pharmacy systems, medication protocols, and new implementations.
  • Perform monthly onsite visits, including medication cart inspections, medication pass observations, and survey preparation assistance.
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Collaborate closely with internal pharmacy teams for seamless service coordination.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current Pharmacy Technician licenses for both Virginia and Maryland are required.
  • PTCB certification is highly preferred.
  • Experience in long-term care pharmacy settings is desirable.
  • Proficiency with pharmacy software such as EMAR, Medbank, and Frameworks is a strong plus.
  • Reliable transportation is essential, with the flexibility to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory and occasionally stay overnight.

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, typically 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
  • Rare weekend work may be necessary.
  • Flexibility to accommodate audits or visits beyond standard hours.

Location: This role requires travel to various healthcare facilities within Virginia (including Alexandria, Woodbridge, Fairfax, Richmond, Hampton, and others) and Maryland.
