This opportunity is for a Certified Pharmacy Technician licensed in Virginia and Maryland to serve as a key liaison between pharmacy services and various healthcare facilities throughout these states. This travel-focused role involves working closely with facility leadership and staff to support medication management and compliance, ensuring high-quality pharmaceutical care across multiple sites.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with facility decision-makers, acting as the primary contact for assigned accounts.
- Collaborate with directors of clinical services and pharmacy operations to provide guidance on medication therapy and regulatory compliance.
- Address client inquiries and resolve issues efficiently to maintain customer satisfaction.
- Identify opportunities to expand services and introduce new products tailored to client needs.
- Conduct training sessions for facility staff, including system usage and medication handling protocols.
- Perform monthly onsite visits and deliver reports aimed at continuous improvement.
- Assist facilities with survey preparation and conduct medication cart/room inspections and medication pass observations as requested.
- Ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Coordinate with internal pharmacy teams to streamline service delivery.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current Pharmacy Technician licenses in Virginia and Maryland required.
- Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification highly preferred.
- Experience in long-term care pharmacy settings preferred.
- Familiarity with medication distribution and pharmacy software such as EMAR, Medbank, and Frameworks preferred.
- Reliable transportation required to travel throughout assigned territories; overnight stays may be necessary.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, primarily 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
- Rare weekend work; flexibility for occasional evening audits.
Location: Travel to facilities throughout Virginia (including Alexandria, Woodbridge, Fairfax, Richmond, and others) and Maryland.
This is a direct hire position that offers the chance to leverage your pharmacy technician skills in a dynamic, multi-site travel role. Mileage and lodging expenses for overnight travel will be covered.
