Pharmacy Technician in Midlothian, VA

This opportunity is ideal for a pharmacy technician with strong IV/infusion expertise seeking to contribute to a growing home infusion service line within a major healthcare system. The role supports sterile compounding and infusion services that directly impact patient care in a specialized setting.

Location: Midlothian, VA
Schedule: Monday – Friday, day shift
Duration: 13-week contract to hire, starting ASAP

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare IV medications, including TPNs and antibiotics, under pharmacist supervision
• Maintain rigorous quality assurance in compliance with legal and departmental standards
• Assist in training new staff to ensure high performance and adherence to protocols
• Engage in clinical initiatives aimed at enhancing patient outcomes
• Perform additional sterile compounding and pharmacy technician duties as needed

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of strong IV/infusion pharmacy technician experience
• Expertise in TPNs and antibiotic compounding required; inpatient IV experience considered but home infusion experience preferred
• Valid VA pharmacy technician license and national certification required
• Experience with EPIC systems is essential
