Pharmacy Tech - Midlothian, Virginia

An opportunity is available for a skilled Pharmacy Technician to support a growing home infusion service line. This role is based in Midlothian, VA, within a large healthcare system known for its comprehensive network of hospitals and home infusion sites.

Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 13 weeks, contract to hire
Shift: Monday to Friday, Day Shift

Responsibilities:

• Prepare intravenous (IV) solutions, total parenteral nutrition (TPNs), and other sterile compounded medications under the direction of a licensed pharmacist.
• Maintain strict adherence to quality assurance and compliance with departmental and regulatory standards.
• Provide training and mentorship to new pharmacy staff as needed.
• Engage in clinical initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care outcomes.
• Perform additional sterile compounding and pharmacy technician assignments as directed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in IV/infusion pharmacy technician roles, with a strong preference for home infusion expertise. Inpatient IV experience may be considered.
• Valid Virginia Pharmacy Technician license.
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification (e.g., PTCB) required.
• Proficiency with EPIC or similar electronic medical record systems.
