A hospital-based opportunity is available for an experienced Pharmacy Technician in an inpatient setting located in Milan, OH. This role involves supporting pharmacy operations with a focus on sterile compounding and medication order entry, ensuring safe and efficient patient care. The assignment is contract to hire with a clear path to a permanent position.
Shift Details:
- 7 days on, 7 days off
- Night shift, 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Typically runs Thursday through Thursday
- Duration: 13 weeks
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately process medication orders using Meditech
- Perform sterile compounding in compliance with hospital standards
- Utilize Pyxis automation systems for medication distribution and inventory management
- Maintain adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with pharmacy and healthcare teams to support patient care
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Ohio pharmacy technician license
- National certification as a pharmacy technician
- Proven experience in inpatient pharmacy environments
- Demonstrated sterile compounding expertise
- Strong proficiency with Pyxis automation systems
