Pharmacy Technician in Murfreesboro, TN

A healthcare organization in Murfreesboro, TN is seeking a detail-oriented IV/Infusion Pharmacy Technician to support their pharmacy operations on a 13-week contract with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role based on performance.

This position requires an individual who will work under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist to fill prescriptions, prepare IV medications, and assist with inventory and billing activities. The role demands adherence to regulatory standards and strong collaborative skills to ensure accurate, timely medication dispensing and a safe work environment.

Location: Murfreesboro, TN
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
  Job Type: Contract to Hire (13 weeks)

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and fill prescriptions and IV medications under pharmacist supervision
• Collaborate with the Billing Supervisor to enter data for prescription filling and payment reimbursement
• Assist in prepackaging medications following regulatory guidelines
• Support pharmacists during final prescription checks and packaging processes
• Maintain inventory by receiving, rotating, and tracking medications and supplies, including lot numbers and expiration dates
• Help maintain a clean, safe workspace and verify proper equipment calibration and safety

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Prior IV/Infusion pharmacy technician experience required
• Tennessee Pharmacy Technician license in hand
• National certification preferred but not mandatory
