A direct hire opportunity is available for a Day Shift Production Pharmacy Technician at a closed-door, long-term care facility in Bardonia, New York. This role involves working Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, with rotating weekends. The pharmacy handles a volume of approximately 600 prescriptions per day, providing a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.

Responsibilities include preparing medications in appropriate packaging such as blister packs and unit-dose to ensure timely delivery to residents. The technician will assist with ordering, receiving, and stocking medications while monitoring storage conditions and expiration dates. Maintaining accurate patient and medication records is also essential. Cross-training will be provided in both the dosage department and medication toting, supporting skill development and versatility within the role. Training on the Frameworks software system will be available to the successful candidate.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy technician experience
  • NY State Pharmacy Technician License preferred but not required
  • PTCB certification preferred but not required
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a high-volume environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Willingness to engage in cross-training and learn new systems
