This opportunity welcomes an experienced Pharmacy Technician to take on a Day Shift Production role within a closed-door, long-term care (LTC) facility. Positioned in a supportive environment, you will play a key role in ensuring timely and accurate preparation of medications serving approximately 600 prescriptions daily. This direct hire position offers stability and the chance to develop skills through cross-training in both the dosage department and toting processes.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing medications using appropriate packaging methods such as blister packs and unit-dose to ensure accurate and efficient delivery to residents.
- Assisting with the ordering, receiving, and stocking of medications while monitoring storage conditions and expiration dates to maintain compliance and safety.
- Maintaining precise and up-to-date patient and medication records, ensuring accurate documentation across all processes.
- Collaborating with the team to uphold pharmacy operation standards and adapting to workflow needs.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Minimum of one year pharmacy technician experience.
- NY State Pharmacy Technician license preferred but not required.
- PTCB certification preferred but not mandatory.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to Frameworks software system (training provided).
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Rotating weekend shifts are part of the role.
