Pharmacy Technician in Nanuet, NY

A Direct Hire opportunity is available for a Day Shift Production Pharmacy Technician within a closed-door, long-term care facility. This role involves working in a high-volume environment, processing approximately 600 prescriptions daily, with cross-training in both the dosage department and medication toting. The position offers a Monday through Friday schedule, 9:00am to 5:00pm, with rotating weekends.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare medications in appropriate packaging, including blister packs and unit-dose formats, ensuring timely delivery to residents.
• Assist with ordering, receiving, and stocking medications while monitoring storage conditions and expiration dates.
• Maintain accurate patient and medication records in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Cross-train across different departments to support versatile workflow needs.

Desired Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy technician experience.
• NY State Pharmacy Technician License preferred but not required.
• PTCB certification preferred but not required.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to software systems like Frameworks (training provided).
