A direct hire opportunity is available for a Day Shift Pharmacy Technician at a closed-door, long-term care facility. This role focuses on preparation and distribution of medications, providing critical support to ensure timely and accurate delivery to residents. Candidates will be cross-trained to work in both the dosage department and toting, gaining comprehensive experience within the pharmacy operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare medications using appropriate packaging methods such as blister packs and unit-dose systems to facilitate accurate delivery
  • Assist in ordering, receiving, and stocking medications while monitoring proper storage conditions and medication expiration dates
  • Maintain precise patient profiles and medication records to uphold regulatory compliance and patient safety

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
  • Rotating weekends required

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy technician experience
  • New York State Pharmacy Technician License preferred, but not mandatory
  • PTCB certification preferred, not required
  • Ability to learn and adapt to Frameworks software system (training provided)
