Pharmacy Technician in Nanuet, NY

This opportunity is for a Day Shift Production Pharmacy Technician position based in Bardonia, New York, within a closed-door, long-term care facility. The role is a direct hire and starts as soon as possible. The ideal candidate will be versatile, receiving cross-training in both the dosage department and medication toting to support efficient pharmacy operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare medications using appropriate packaging methods such as blister packs and unit-dose formats to ensure timely and accurate delivery to residents.
• Assist with ordering, receiving, and stocking medications, ensuring all items are stored correctly and expiration dates are monitored.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient and medication records to support compliance and safety.
• Engage with a high-volume pharmacy environment processing roughly 600 prescriptions daily.
• Use the Frameworks software system (training provided).

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
• Rotating weekends

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy technician experience
• NY State Pharmacy Technician License preferred but not required
• PTCB certification preferred but not required
• Ability to adapt to cross-training and multi-tasking within the pharmacy setting
