A Long-Term Care (LTC) facility is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician for a direct hire opportunity. This role focuses on preparing and managing medication distribution in a closed-door pharmacy setting, ensuring the safe and timely delivery of prescriptions to residents. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and able to work efficiently within a high-volume environment averaging around 600 prescriptions daily.

Location: Nanuet, NY
Type: Direct Hire
Schedule:

  • Thursday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • Saturday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Sunday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare medications in appropriate packaging, such as blister packs and unit-dose, to ensure timely delivery to residents
  • Assist with medication ordering, receiving, and stocking, ensuring accurate storage and expiration date tracking
  • Maintain precise patient and medication records in accordance with regulatory standards
  • Utilize Frameworks software system for pharmacy operations (training provided)

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Minimum of one year of pharmacy technician experience is required
  • New York State Pharmacy Technician license preferred, but not required
  • PTCB certification is preferred, but not required
  • Ability to work Thursday through Sunday shifts as outlined
