This opportunity is for a knowledgeable Pharmacy Technician who is fluent in Spanish to support retail pharmacy operations within a busy community pharmacy setting. The role requires someone dedicated, detail-oriented, and comfortable engaging with a diverse patient population to assist with prescriptions and related tasks.

Location: Chicago, IL
Position Type: Per Diem
Schedule:

  • 2-3 days per week
  • Monday to Thursday: 9 AM – 5 PM
  • Friday: 9 AM – 2 PM
  • Saturday: 9 AM – 2 PM
  • Sundays: Closed

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately fill 50-75 prescriptions daily using the Best Rx system (training provided)
  • Assist patients both in person and over the phone, addressing questions and providing excellent customer service
  • Handle over-the-counter (OTC) medication sales and assist with inventory management
  • Support daily retail pharmacy operations to ensure smooth workflow and patient satisfaction

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid Illinois Pharmacy Technician license
  • Spanish fluency is required to communicate effectively with patients
  • PTCB certification preferred but not mandatory
  • Retail pharmacy experience is ideal; new graduates ready to learn are encouraged to apply
