Pharmacy Technician - Naperville, Illinois

This role offers an opportunity for a pharmacy technician to support inpatient hospital operations in a dynamic environment. The position involves both frontline inpatient pharmacy duties and specialized sterile compounding tasks within a clean room setting. Over the course of a 13-week contract, there is potential for permanent hire based on performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform inpatient pharmacy technician duties including preparing medications and managing Omnicell and auto cart fills.
• Compound sterile medication batches adhering to strict clean room protocols.
• Prepare and maintain crash carts for rapid response scenarios.
• Collaborate with pharmacy and healthcare teams to ensure accurate and timely medication delivery.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Illinois Pharmacy Technician License.
• PTCB certification required.
• Proven experience working in inpatient hospital pharmacy settings.
• Hands-on experience with sterile compounding in accordance with industry standards.
• Ability to work rotating shifts (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM; 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM; 2:30 PM - 10:00 PM) including some weekends.

Location:

• This position is based in Naperville, Illinois.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday with rotating shifts.
• Rotating weekend schedules.
