Pharmacy Technician in Nashville, TN

An opportunity is available for experienced Pharmacy Technicians to support a busy mail order renal specialty pharmacy in Lavergne, TN. This contract role offers a chance to work 40 hours per week with shifts available from mid-morning to late evening on an 8-week assignment. The position has potential for temp-to-hire conversion, requiring PTCB certification for permanent consideration.

Location: Lavergne, TN

Schedule:

• One technician: 11:30 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
• Two technicians: 1:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support medication dispensing processes or provide customer service assistance within the pharmacy.
• Customer service duties include verifying shipping information, entering new patient data, and updating patient profiles in the Wellsky pharmacy order entry system.
• Dispensing responsibilities involve accurately filling prescriptions and handling medications safely and efficiently.
• Maintain compliance with pharmacy policies and uphold high standards of accuracy and confidentiality.

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician, ideally in a mail order or specialty pharmacy setting.
• Proficiency with pharmacy software; Wellsky experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
• PTCB certification required for permanent placement consideration.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment processing approximately 1,000 prescriptions daily.
