Pharmacy Technician - Nashville, TN

This opportunity is for certified pharmacy technicians registered with the Tennessee Board of Pharmacy to support a busy mail order renal specialty pharmacy handling approximately 1,000 prescriptions daily. The position is contract-based with a 13-week assignment and potential for transition to a temp-to-hire role, contingent upon obtaining PTCB certification for permanent placement.

Schedule/Hours

• Monday through Friday
• 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• 40 hours per week
• Immediate start

Responsibilities

• Serve in either customer service or dispensing roles within the pharmacy
• Customer service duties include verifying shipping information, entering new patient data, and updating patient profiles in the pharmacy software system (Wellsky)
• Dispensing roles include filling and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently
• Work without automation in the order entry system, relying on careful manual processes

Qualifications/Desired Experience

• Certified Pharmacy Technician with current registration from the Tennessee Board of Pharmacy
• PTCB certification required for permanent placement consideration
• Experience with pharmacy software systems preferred, especially Wellsky if possible
• Ability to work independently and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and organizational skills
