A mail order renal specialty pharmacy is seeking experienced Pharmacy Technicians for a contract opportunity with potential to convert to permanent. This role involves supporting pharmacy operations in a high-volume setting, processing approximately 1,000 prescriptions daily using the Wellsky order entry system, which does not utilize automation.

Location: Nashville, TN
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM (40 hours per week)
Duration: 13+ week contract, with contract-to-hire possible
Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform customer service tasks, including verifying shipping details, entering new patient information, and updating patient profiles within the pharmacy software.
  • Accurately fill and dispense medications in compliance with pharmacy protocols and safety standards.
  • Maintain effective communication with pharmacy staff to ensure timely processing of prescriptions.
  • Adhere to quality control measures and maintain organization of work areas.

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

  • Current Tennessee Pharmacy Technician license preferred.
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification is highly desired but candidates with strong experience will be considered.
  • Previous experience in a pharmacy technician role, particularly within a mail order or specialty pharmacy setting, is a strong plus.
  • Proficiency with pharmacy software systems, preferably Wellsky, or similar platforms.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle high-volume prescription processing.
  • Excellent customer service skills and professionalism.
