Pharmacy Technician in Nashville, TN

A pharmacy technician position is available in a fast-paced, renal specialty mail order pharmacy setting, supporting approximately 1,000 prescription fills daily. This role offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic team, utilizing Wellsky pharmacy order entry software in a non-automated environment. The position is a 13+ week contract with potential for contract-to-hire.

Location: Nashville, TN
Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM
• 40 hours per week
• Immediate start preferred

Responsibilities:

• Perform pharmacy technician duties in either customer service or dispensing roles
• In the customer service role: verify shipping information, enter new patient data, and update patient profiles using the pharmacy software system
• In the dispensing role: accurately fill and dispense medications according to prescriptions
• Collaborate closely with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure proper medication management and patient safety

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Pharmacy Technician licensure in Tennessee highly preferred
• PTCB national certification strongly preferred but candidates with strong relevant experience without PTCB will be considered
• Experience working in a pharmacy setting, especially mail order or specialty pharmacy, is advantageous
• Familiarity with pharmacy order entry systems, ideally Wellsky, is beneficial
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication processing
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Willingness to comply with all regulatory and safety policies
