Pharmacy Tech - Nashville, Tennessee

An opportunity is available for a skilled licensed Pharmacy Technician to support a renal specialty mail order pharmacy serving approximately 1,000 prescriptions daily. This position is ideal for candidates experienced in high-volume pharmacy environments and seeking a Monday through Friday schedule.

Location: Nashville, TN
Type: 13-week contract (with potential contract-to-hire)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM, 40 hours/week
Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform customer service tasks such as verifying shipping details, entering and updating patient information in the pharmacy system
• Dispense and fill prescriptions accurately in alignment with pharmacy protocols
• Utilize Wellsky pharmacy order entry system; no automation involved
• Collaborate closely with pharmacists and other technicians to ensure smooth operations and patient safety

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Tennessee Pharmacy Technician license strongly preferred
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification highly desired, but candidates with solid experience without PTCB will be considered
• Experience in a high-volume pharmacy or specialty pharmacy setting is beneficial
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
