Pharmacy Technician in Nashville, TN

A healthcare facility in Nashville, TN is seeking an experienced IV/Infusion Pharmacy Technician for a 13-week contract with the potential to transition into a contract-to-hire position. This role requires working under direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist to prepare and dispense IV medications accurately and efficiently.

Location: Nashville, TN
Job Type: Contract to Hire
Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fill prescriptions and prepare IV medications under pharmacist supervision
• Collaborate with Billing Supervisor to input data for reimbursement processing
• Prepackage medications following regulatory standards
• Assist in final prescription checks and medication packaging to ensure accuracy
• Coordinate timely and accurate medication delivery to customers
• Maintain inventory practices including receiving, rotating stock, and tracking lot numbers and expiration dates
• Support management in maintaining a clean, safe work environment and ensure equipment is properly calibrated and sanitized

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Prior IV pharmacy technician experience is required
• Tennessee pharmacy technician license must be in-hand
• National certification preferred, but not mandatory
