Pharmacy Technician - Nashville, Tennessee

A healthcare organization in Nashville, TN is seeking an IV/Infusion Pharmacy Technician for an immediate 13-week contract, with the potential for conversion to a permanent role based on performance. This opportunity is ideal for a pharmacy technician experienced in IV preparation and infusion who holds a valid Tennessee pharmacy technician license.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare IV medications and fill prescriptions under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with the Billing Supervisor to enter prescription data and facilitate reimbursement processes.
• Assist in prepackaging medications and support the pharmacist during final prescription checks and medication packaging.
• Maintain accurate inventory by receiving, rotating, and logging medications with lot numbers and expiration dates.
• Support pharmacy management with physical inventory counts and uphold a clean, safe work environment by monitoring equipment calibration and cleanliness.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Tennessee Pharmacy Technician license required.
• Prior IV/infusion pharmacy technician experience is essential.
• National certification is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under supervision.
• Familiarity with pharmacy regulations and inventory management procedures.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
