An opportunity is available for a skilled IV/Infusion Pharmacy Technician to contribute expertise in medication preparation and prescription fulfillment. This position offers a 13-week contract with potential for contract-to-hire based on performance.

Location: Nashville, TN
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Type: Contract to Hire

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and fill prescriptions under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, including the preparation of IV medications
  • Collaborate with the Billing Supervisor to accurately enter prescription data and facilitate reimbursement processes
  • Support the Pharmacist in prepackaging medications according to regulatory standards and assist in the final checking of filled prescriptions
  • Coordinate timely and accurate delivery of medications to customers
  • Assist in maintaining inventory by receiving, rotating stock, and documenting lot numbers and expiration dates
  • Ensure a clean and safe work environment by supporting equipment calibration and safety checks
  • Work closely with Pharmacy Management and Technician Supervisor to uphold quality and regulatory compliance

Qualifications:

  • Valid Tennessee Pharmacy Technician license in hand
  • Prior intravenous (IV) experience is required
  • National Pharmacy Technician certification preferred but not mandatory
  • Ability to work attentively under supervision and adhere to established protocols
