Pharmacy Technician in Nelsonville, OH

A pharmacy technician opportunity is available in Athens, Ohio, offering a contract-to-hire position with full-time hours and comprehensive training in sterile IV compounding. This role is ideal for candidates with at least two years of pharmacy technician experience who are interested in expanding their skills into mail-order compounding pharmacy operations. No prior compounding experience is necessary, as full training is provided to develop expertise in both non-sterile and sterile compounding techniques.

Responsibilities include assisting pharmacists with prescription processing, data entry, and order fulfillment, accurately filling and labeling prescriptions, and supporting inventory and workflow coordination. The role involves learning and applying USP standards and pharmacy regulations to maintain compliance, packaging prescriptions for mail distribution, and ensuring an organized work environment.

Schedule:

• Monday – Friday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Saturday: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Sunday: Closed

Desired Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years recent experience as a Pharmacy Technician
• Active Pharmacy Technician license if required by the state
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to learning new skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-centered setting
• No prior compounding experience required; training will be provided
