This opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician ready to provide essential support in medication preparation and dispensing within a busy pharmacy setting. The position is a 13-week contract assignment located in New Braunfels, TX.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately compound, prepare, and process prescription medications according to company policies, state regulations, and safety standards.
  • Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications and pharmaceutical supplies efficiently.
  • Perform pharmaceutical calculations to verify medication dosages.
  • Label and package medications precisely to ensure patient safety.
  • Participate actively in identifying and reporting medication-related incidents to maintain high safety standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of pharmacy work surfaces and equipment, including laminar flow hoods.
  • Inspect pharmacy equipment regularly, reporting malfunctions or defects promptly.
  • Keep detailed and accurate documentation of temperature logs, cleaning activities, and maintenance to ensure compliance.
  • Support overall pharmacy organization and adherence to regulatory requirements.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
  • Active Pharmacy Technician license in Texas.
  • Certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).
  • IV Certification preferred.
