Pharmacy Technician – Outpatient Retail Setting

This position offers the opportunity to support patient care in an outpatient retail pharmacy located in Southeast Iowa. The role focuses on delivering excellent service to customers while ensuring accuracy and efficiency in prescription processing.

Location: New London, IA
Type: Contract (approximately 13 weeks)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, day shifts

Responsibilities:

• Accurately fill and dispense prescriptions in a retail pharmacy environment
• Provide friendly, knowledgeable assistance to customers and patients
• Verify insurance information to support claims processing
• Manage inventory and stock supplies as needed
• Collaborate with pharmacy staff to maintain smooth operations

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Pharmacy Technician certification or equivalent skills
• Ability to obtain Iowa Pharmacy Technician license promptly
• Previous retail pharmacy experience preferred, demonstrating familiarity with outpatient workflows
• Strong customer service skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
