Pharmacy Technician | New Port Richey, Florida

Support pharmacy operations in a dynamic environment as a Pharmacy Technician with a 13-week contract opportunity based in Clearwater, FL. This role requires dedication to accuracy and teamwork, offering an essential contribution to medication safety and patient care.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM

Start date available ASAP or approximately 1.5 to 2 weeks after clearance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and fill prescriptions, manage insurance adjudications, and resolve insurance rejections efficiently.
• Prepare, package, and label medications for pharmacist verification, ensuring accuracy.
• Perform data entry and manage prescription documentation while maintaining communication with patients and prescribers.
• Conduct daily inventory cycle counts, restock medications, and monitor expiration dates to uphold inventory integrity.
• Assist with medication returns, quarantines, and destruction procedures following regulatory guidelines.
• Cross-train across pharmacy functions to provide flexible departmental support.
• Adhere strictly to compliance standards including HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, and insurance policies.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Current PTCB certification and valid Florida pharmacy technician license in good standing.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a pharmacy technician; call center experience is a plus.
• Excellent multitasking abilities with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Effective communicator comfortable interacting with patients, providers, and internal teams.
