Per Diem Pharmacy Technician - New York, New York

This opportunity is for a Pharmacy Technician to support a retail pharmacy in Newark, New Jersey, on a per diem basis. The position requires providing exceptional customer service and assisting with prescription processing within a fast-paced environment. Candidates must be flexible to work specified weekday shifts and deliver precise, efficient support to pharmacists and customers.

Location:

• Newark, New Jersey

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday through Friday
• 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• 1st shift

Responsibilities:

• Accurately enter patient information and prescription orders into the computer system
• Assist pharmacists in dispensing prescription medications
• Manage and order over-the-counter (OTC) inventory to maintain appropriate stock levels
• Greet and assist customers, addressing their needs and concerns with professionalism
• Work with third-party prescription plans to resolve adjudication issues and ensure smooth processing

Desired Qualifications:

• Current, clear, and active pharmacy technician license in the state of New Jersey
• Bilingual Spanish language skills preferred, enhancing communication with diverse customers
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Ability to work efficiently as part of a team
