Per Diem Pharmacy Technician - New York, NY

This per diem retail pharmacy technician role supports pharmacy operations by accurately entering patient information and prescription orders, assisting pharmacists with prescription dispensing, and maintaining over-the-counter inventory levels. Candidates will provide outstanding customer service by addressing customer needs and resolving issues related to third-party prescription plans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enter patient data and prescription orders into pharmacy computer systems.
• Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications safely and efficiently.
• Monitor and order OTC inventory to keep pharmacy supplies well-stocked.
• Greet and assist customers, addressing questions and concerns with professionalism.
• Work with insurance and third-party prescription plans to resolve adjudication challenges and expedite prescription processing.

Qualifications:

• Active, clear pharmacy technician license in New Jersey is required.
• Bilingual Spanish-English skills preferred to enhance communication with diverse customers.
• Prior experience working in a retail pharmacy setting is advantageous.

Schedule & Location:

• Location: Newark, New Jersey
• Shifts: 1st Shift (Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
• Assignment Term: May 18th, May 22nd, May 27th-29th, and June 1st-5th
