Pharmacy Technician | New York, New York

A direct hire opportunity is available for an experienced Pharmacy Technician to work a day shift in a closed-door, long-term care (LTC) pharmacy setting in New York, NY. This role focuses on production, involving cross-training in both the dosage department and medication toting to support timely and accurate medication distribution.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare medications using appropriate packaging methods such as blister packs and unit-dose to ensure prompt delivery to residents
• Assist with ordering, receiving, and stocking medications while monitoring storage conditions and expiration dates
• Maintain accurate records of patient information and medication inventory
• Operate the Frameworks software system; training will be provided
• Support a high-volume pharmacy processing approximately 600 prescriptions daily

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy technician experience
• NY State Pharmacy Technician License preferred but not required
• PTCB certification preferred but not required
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

Location:

• New York, NY (closed-door LTC pharmacy)

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Rotating weekends required
