A production-focused Pharmacy Technician role is available in a long-term care (LTC), closed-door facility located in Bardonia, New York. This position offers direct hire employment with a day shift schedule, providing an excellent opportunity to develop skills in both dosage preparation and medication toting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare medications accurately in appropriate packaging formats such as blister packs and unit-dose to ensure timely delivery to residents.
- Assist with ordering, receiving, and stocking medications while monitoring storage conditions and expiration dates.
- Maintain meticulous patient and medication records to uphold compliance and facilitate efficient pharmacy operations.
- Cross-train between dosage department duties and toting responsibilities to support team flexibility.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy technician experience.
- NY State Pharmacy Technician License is preferred but not mandatory.
- PTCB certification is preferred but not required.
- Ability to learn new software systems; training provided for Frameworks software.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a production pharmacy environment.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Rotating weekend shifts
