A direct hire opportunity is available for a Pharmacy Technician to work day shifts in a closed-door, long-term care (LTC) facility located in New York, NY. This role requires availability from Thursday to Sunday, supporting efficient medication preparation and management in a fast-paced environment processing approximately 600 prescriptions daily.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare medications in appropriate packaging formats such as blister packs and unit-dose to ensure timely delivery to residents.
- Assist with medication ordering, receiving, and stocking while maintaining proper storage conditions and monitoring expiration dates.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medication records to support safety and compliance.
- Utilize pharmacy software systems; training on Frameworks will be provided.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy technician experience required.
- NY State Pharmacy Technician License preferred but not mandatory.
- PTCB certification preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to work Thursday through Sunday with shift times:
- Thursday and Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Saturday and Sunday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
