A Specialty Pharmacy and Home Infusion Provider is seeking experienced Patient Care Coordinators (PCCs) to join their pharmacy team on-site in Newark, DE. This contract-to-hire opportunity offers a chance to play a vital role in facilitating patient orders and ensuring seamless communication between the pharmacy department, patients, providers, and caregivers.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a liaison to coordinate upcoming orders between pharmacy staff, patients, providers, and caregivers
- Communicate effectively with patients to complete necessary assessments and order refills
- Maintain an organized workflow with strong attention to detail
- Calculate dosages and apply clinical knowledge to support patient care requirements
- Navigate insurance procedures including prior authorizations to facilitate timely medication delivery
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1-2 years pharmacy technician experience, preferably in retail or long-term care settings
- Strong familiarity with pharmacy processes, dosage calculations, and clinical basics
- Knowledge of insurance processes and prior authorizations
- Experience with CareTend preferred but not required
- High School Diploma or GED required; national certification highly preferred
- Demonstrated self-motivation and ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment
Schedule:
- Shift options: 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. and/or 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
