A newly established outpatient pharmacy in Newark, NJ, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support its launch and ongoing operations. This role offers the unique chance to contribute to building a pharmacy from the ground up, serving a diverse patient population within a community-focused healthcare environment. The pharmacy is scheduled to open in August, with recruitment underway for dedicated team members. Schedule:
- Monday-Saturday
- Day Shifts
- Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Assist pharmacists with prescription processing and dispensing
- Accurately enter and maintain patient and prescription data
- Support inventory management and medication ordering processes
- Process insurance claims and address billing issues
- Deliver excellent customer service to patients and healthcare providers
- Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations
Qualifications:
- Active New Jersey Pharmacy Technician registration/license
- Minimum of 1 year retail pharmacy experience
- PTCB Certification preferred but not required
- Bilingual in English and Spanish highly preferred
- Experience with PrimeRx, MicroMerchant, or similar pharmacy management systems is a plus
- Strong communication and customer service skills
