Pharmacy Technician – Per Diem | Newark, New Jersey

A retail pharmacy in Newark is seeking a Per Diem Pharmacy Technician to support prescription processing and customer service during daytime weekday shifts. This opportunity is ideal for a licensed technician eager to provide excellent care and ensure smooth pharmacy operations.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Specific assignment dates: May 18th, May 22nd, May 27th-29th, June 1st-5th

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately enter patient information and prescription orders into the pharmacy system
  • Assist pharmacists in dispensing prescriptions while maintaining compliance with safety protocols
  • Manage OTC inventory, placing orders to maintain adequate stock levels
  • Greet customers warmly and assist with inquiries or concerns to deliver outstanding service
  • Work with third-party prescription plans to resolve adjudication issues and facilitate timely prescription processing

Qualifications:

  • Active and clear Pharmacy Technician license in New Jersey is required
  • Bilingual Spanish skills are preferred to enhance communication with diverse patients
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently under pharmacist supervision
  • Excellent customer service and communication abilities
