Per Diem Pharmacy Technician | Newark, New Jersey

An opportunity is available for a skilled Community Pharmacy Technician to support a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) operating under the 340B program. This per diem position requires commitment to a consistent weekday shift along with every other Saturday, providing flexible scheduling within a dynamic community healthcare setting.

Location: Newark, NJ
Schedule:

• One consistent weekday shift per week (Monday–Saturday, 9 AM to 5 PM)
• Every other Saturday (9 AM to 5 PM)
  Type: PRN (per diem)
  Start Date: ASAP
  Pharmacy System: MicroMerchant / PrimeRx

Responsibilities:

• Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications accurately and efficiently
• Manage prescription processing using MicroMerchant/PrimeRx software systems
• Provide excellent customer service to patients visiting the pharmacy
• Maintain compliance with FQHC and 340B program guidelines
• Support inventory control and ensure proper medication storage
• Communicate effectively with pharmacy staff and healthcare providers

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician, preferably in a community or FQHC setting
• Familiarity with 340B program operations and requirements is a plus
• Proficiency in pharmacy software systems, especially MicroMerchant and PrimeRx
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Ability to commit to a fixed weekday schedule and alternating Saturdays
• Valid Pharmacy Technician certification or licensing as required by state regulations
