An opportunity is available for a Certified Pharmacy Technician to serve as a traveling liaison between pharmacy services and various healthcare facilities throughout Maryland and Virginia. This role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with facility leadership and staff while ensuring high-quality medication therapy and compliance support across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary contact for assigned accounts, addressing needs and facilitating effective communication between facilities and pharmacy operations
  • Provide guidance on medication therapy, compliance, and regulatory standards in collaboration with clinical and pharmacy leadership
  • Conduct facility training sessions on pharmacy systems, medication management, and compliance topics
  • Perform monthly onsite visits, including survey preparation, medication cart/room inspections, and medication pass observations as requested
  • Identify opportunities to expand pharmacy services and introduce new products tailored to facility requirements
  • Collaborate internally with pharmacy teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid Pharmacy Technician licenses for both Virginia and Maryland required
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification strongly preferred
  • Experience in long-term care pharmacy settings highly desirable
  • Proficiency with pharmacy and medication distribution software (EMAR, Medbank, Frameworks preferred)
  • Reliable transportation with willingness and ability to travel regularly to multiple facilities within assigned territory, including occasional overnight stays

Location:

  • Travel to healthcare facilities across Maryland and Virginia, including but not limited to Alexandria, Woodbridge, Fairfax, Richmond, Goochland, Kilmarnock, Hampton, Newport News, Gloucester, Colonial Beach, and Yorktown

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, primarily 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Flexible scheduling may be required for audits or special visits outside typical hours

This is a direct hire position offering the unique opportunity to impact patient care across a broad network of facilities. Mileage and hotel accommodations for travel will be covered.
