An immediate opening is available for an experienced IV/Infusion Pharmacy Technician to support sterile compounding operations at a specialized infusion pharmacy in Duluth, GA. This direct hire opportunity offers a structured Monday through Friday schedule with occasional Saturdays, ideal for professionals seeking stability and a focus on advanced sterile compounding.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Saturdays as needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform sterile compounding of medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, adhering strictly to USP 797 standards.
• Maintain quality assurance measures in compliance with departmental protocols and legal requirements.
• Complete sterile compounding practical certification every six months to ensure ongoing compliance with USP 797.
• Ensure daily cleaning and maintenance of sterile compounding rooms and primary engineering controls in line with regulatory standards.
• Provide training to new pharmacy technicians as needed to uphold quality and safety standards.
• Participate in clinical initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care outcomes.
• Execute additional sterile compounding and pharmacy technician duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Hold a current Georgia Pharmacy Technician license.
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) is highly preferred.
• Proficiency with CareTend pharmacy system is an advantage.
• Previous IV/Infusion sterile compounding experience is essential.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to patient safety and quality.
