This role begins with full-time hours for approximately one month, transitioning into a PRN position, ideally suited for a local candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform intravenous (IV) compounding with accuracy and attention to safety protocols.
- Manage medication filling and dispensing using Pyxis automated systems.
- Support pharmacy operations through effective order entry utilizing the Paragon/Allscripts system.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure timely medication delivery and patient safety.
- Adapt to rotating shifts including 07:30-16:00 and 12:00-20:30, with weekend coverage from 08:00-16:30.
Required Qualifications:
- Valid California Pharmacy Technician license.
- Proven experience with IV compounding in a hospital or acute care setting.
- Proficiency in using Pyxis medication dispensing systems.
- Familiarity with order entry software, particularly Paragon and Allscripts.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts during weekdays and weekends.
